50th Anniversary of The Lake Dallas Library

Friends of The Lake Dallas Library truly appreciated the opportunity to serveas co-host with the City of Lake Dallas to celebrate the 50th birthday of theLake Dallas Public Library. From humble beginnings in a single Sunday school church room in 1975, the library started out as the Lake Cities Library. Today, it is housed in a 5,000 sq. ft. building known as the Lake Dallas Public Library but is still at the same physical address where it all began. If not for the vision and dream of the founder, Gaye Bridges, her family, the multiple Friends Groups,volunteers, and supporters, we would not be here today!
