The Friends of the Lake Dallas Library were thrilled to celebrate our official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 6. This special event marked an exciting milestone in our commitment to supporting the library and its programs. We were so excited to have the community join us as we commemorated this moment, connected with fellow supporters and LCCC members, and look ahead to all the wonderful initiatives and programming that will continue to enrich The Lake Dallas Public Library and the Lake Cities Community!

Serene and Christi received a signed proclamation from Hickory Creek's Mayor, Lynn Clark. The proclamation states that September is officially Library Card Sign Up Month in the Town of Hickory Creek for September 2024.

The Friends of the Lake Dallas Library attended the Lake Dallas City Council meeting on April 11. Neva Sudderth gave FLDL's 1st Quarter 2024 Status Report (linked below) and presented a check in the amount of $4,000 to the City for the Lake Dallas Library Donation Fund. We are so excited to continue our support of the library. Thank you, Lake Dallas City Council, for your continued support!
